Monday Morning Blues doesn’t only have to be about videos. Other things can make your Monday better, right? Especially, free things, no?

I don’t think I could find another word other than free that gamers love so much. Bruce and Columbia Records (and Activison Blizzard) have decided to harness the power of this word and apply it to 2 Bruce Springsteen songs, “Born to Run” and “My Lucky Day,” to celebrate the release of his new album “Working On A Dream” this Tuesday. If you’re planning on downloading the free Springsteen pack, you’ve only got one week to do it before they actually expect us gamers to leave the sacred cult of FREE and pony up $3.99 on the PSN, 260 Microsoft Points on the Xbox Live Marketplace or for 200 Wii points each as singles on WiiWare.

PS Is it just me that finds it a little odd that Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing In The Dark“started to play when I began this post? Ok folks, cue the Twilight Zone music and get out your tin foil hats (I’ve already got mine on).

If you’ve played World of Goo before you’ll notice that two things stand out. The entertaining gameplay and the good tunes you’ll be humming well after an hour or two of playing World of Goo. Developer 2D boy had become flooded with emails asking for a soundtrack, so he decided, out of the kindness of his 2D heart, to make a “fully remastered” soundtrack available for download for free.

Thanks to everyone who wrote in asking about a soundtrack! I probably never would have put this together otherwise. I spent this weekend pulling together all the audio, reconstructing some of the older songs, and “remastering” them all like they do to Snow White DVD’s. The final soundtrack is about 49 minutes long, and all free here. Oh glorious day.

If you were lucky enough to live in the UK in the 90’s, you might have seen a few episodes of what I would call the best TV show ever. Unfortunantly, I wasn’t, and I didn’t even find out about it until long after it was taken off the air. Most of the episodes I was able to find were in bad VHS quality, but that didn’t stop my love for the show. Earlier this month, GamesMasterTV launched, and I jizzed in my pants. All 126 episodes of this fine program are available for free, in fantastic updated video quality. Since most Americans are starting winter break, there hasn’t been a better time to get hooked onto this show. What are you waiting for?!

 

If you haven’t gotten your hands on the eerie Dead Space yet and your wondering what all the buzz is all about, you can finally check it out for yourself via Xbox Live tomorrow or on November 27th (Thanks Giving for you fellow Americans) if you have a PlayStation 3.
