Name: Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth

Release Date: 2/16/10
Genre: Point and Click Adventure
Rating: T

Eureka! We are back with another installment in the popular Ace Attorney franchise. Its been two years since we were last in the courts with Apollo Justice and it seems that we will have to wait a bit longer because in Ace Attorney Investigations, the player takes the role of Miles Edgeworth as he uses logic to deduct what really happens at each crime scene. The game takes a fresh and new approach on the Ace Attorney series introducing the first major changes that the series has seen since its creation. I appreciate that they are taking creative liberties, however, if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.

Years ago Capcom asked Megaman fans for their boss ideas and submit them to Nintendo Power in hopes to make them an in-game reality. More than 15 years later it seems that Capcom has finally taken some of their fan’s suggestions and used them in the upcoming Megaman 10. You can find one more example here if you’re not convinced of Capcom’s inspiration.

[Thanks, Sean!]

Dark Void may have come out of left field for most people, but it has an interesting past and a possibly interesting future when it launches on January 19. You can take Dark Void for an early spin when the demo goes live on Xbox 360 January 6 and for PlayStation 3 on January 7.

As the ‘80s were drawing to a close, the developers at Capcom began work on a top secret project that aimed to set new standards for the platformer genre. That game was called “Dark Rift”, and it blended the intense shooting action of Section Z™ with the latest innovations in platform jumping from Mega Man. In order to properly fulfill the producer’s vision for Dark Rift (later renamed Dark Void), the hardware engineering team at Capcom was enlisted to design and produce an all-new chipset that would be included in every cartridge, enabling huge numbers of sprites and never-before-seen special effects to be displayed on the aging NES® platform and the PlayChoice-10 NES arcade cabinet.

New Spyborgs Trailer: “Docks”

Published by Alexis Santos in Nintendo Wii. 0 Comments

Capcom sent some new Spyborgs footage earlier today to pass onto you, dear reader. Even though Spyborgs emerged a bit grittier than its original look after it’s “face lift,” it still looks a bit like a Saturday morning cartoon show. Despite it’s looks, Spyborgs provided some fun gameplay for the few minutes I played it while at E3.

Spyborgs launches on September 22 in North America and September 25 in Europe. Interested in Spyborgs? Let us know in the comments!

(PS You can find the screens after the jump!)

Porky the Pig SNES

“What?! Dead rising 2 isn’t going to be at E3?!” Yes, we feel your pain. Just blame it on Swine Flu and Japanese government restrictions on travelers.

“Our Capcom guys are not coming to E3 because of the Japanese government restrictions,” said Chris Kramer, Senior Director of Communications and Community. “The company is taking the advisory very seriously.”

Not only is Capcom reducing it’s presence at E3 due to Swine Flu, but Koei and Square Enix are as well. “A limited number of executives/employees from Square Enix’s headquarters in Japan will be attending E3 this year, given the recent worldwide spread of H1N1 flu,” said Square Enix in a statement it issued earleir today. As for Koei, in light of the Swine Flu they have reconsidered having employees travel to E3 from their Yokohama, Japan headquarters, but told Kotaku that “members from our Toronto studio, KOEI Canada, will be at E3 to speak about a new title that will be publicly unveiled at the show”
