
Wow, did they? I find it hard to believe, but Sony wouldn’t lie would they? Whatever the truth is, they are still a long way behind Microsoft and Nintendo and definitely need some more games like God of War 3 and Killzone 2 to help them catch up and maybe even sell me one.
Sony announced today that the company has sold 21.3 million PlayStation 3 consoles worldwide, a figure that by February is probably a bit higher, as their tally only runs until December 31, 2008.
Not disclosed however was a regional breakdown of how many units have been sold in each area.
Looking at the number, it’s important to note that Sony – unlike many other companies – counts actual sales, not just units shipped to retail.

Umm. No. You didn’t Sony. Sorry.
I find it quite hard to believe.
