UPDATE: Told you guys, it’s actually being revealed tomorrow! RUMOR FALSE.

Let’s be honest here, NX rumors are absolutely worthless to write about or comment on since Nintendo still hasn’t said a word about it, despite the launch date being around five months away. Today though, a new one came out that the NX may be officially detailed this Friday. This rumor comes from a single tweet by Wall Street Journal technology writer Takashi Mochizuki, where he claims that “Speculation is Nintendo would unveil NX details in coming week.”

Along with that, the rumor states that there will be amiibo giveaways leading up to it and that it will cost $300 to $350. Where this information came from specifically is hard to pinpoint, as none of it has any base in reality. Somehow though, several media sources are claiming that the $300 price point is too expensive for this yet-to-be-seen console that we know nothing about, saying that it’s above Nintendo’s usual console price, despite the Wii U launching at the exact same price just a few years ago, and other current gen consoles launching at around $400 a year after the Wii U.

If the NX is finally revealed this Friday, I won’t be complaining, but given the state of how Nintendo has treated it thus far, don’t hold your breath.

Not to mention that Wii U is *still* priced at $300.
