‘No Man’s Sky’ Gives ‘Open World’ a New Meaning

With recently released games like Watch Dogs and Grand Theft Auto V flaunting massive open-world sandbox environments that offer players a nearly unlimited supply of gameplay, it’s hard to imagine future games topping these. In the eyes of Hello Games, it is merely a challenge. Welcome No Man’s Sky – the UK-based studio’s attempt at creating a truly ‘open world’ experience for gamers to enjoy. Based on the concept of procedural generation (content that is generated dynamically via mathematical algorithms), every player’s experience is truly unique in this science-fiction based video game. As the trailer above shows, No Man’s Sky is shooting for the stars in offering gamers a new perspective on ‘open-world’ games.
