Nintendo has sold over 100 million Wii systems since the system launch back in 2006. For a moment, just think about that number, 100 million. That is a lot of systems out in the wild. Now with the WiiU released in the United States and Canada a few days ago. You would think that sales on Wii systems should be declining, or even disappearing from store shelves. Nintendo, on the other hand, thinks the exact opposite.

Currently in Canada, Nintendo will be releasing a new slim model of the Wii system called the Wii Mini. At a price tag of 99$, the system that is pure matte black with a red trim, and comes with the basic controller set up of a red Wii Remote Plus and a Nunchuck controller. The only downside to this system is the removal of GameCube support and online capabilities through Wi-Fi.

The Wii Mini is designed exclusively for Wii Games. Which the system has no problem supplying since there is over 1,400 different Wii games released since launch. While the Wii Mini is a good alternative to the already portable Wii, especially if you don’t use the internet, just want a back up system, or you have never touched a Wii before. The price alone makes it worth picking up if you need to get an extra Wii Remote or Nunchuck for your WiiU.

I mean honestly, you can never have too many consoles right? Find out more about the Wii Mini.
