Nintendo Announces Charging Stand for Switch

It’s no secret that the Switch has a few design flaws, namely that the kickstand is flimsy and terrible, and for some unfathomable reason they put the charging port on the bottom of a device that has a kickstand. On top of all this, there have been several third party portable docks for the Switch that have bricked the consoles, making them impossible to charge. While this new device doesn’t solve the problem of terrible third-party docks, it does help with the design issues inherent to the Switch itself. I know personally, I have had many nights where I want to play my Switch in bed with it propped on my nightstand, but I have to switch to handheld mode at some point because the battery gets so low. With this accessory, there will hopefully be a change for a lot of people who have this issue, though there is the glaring issue of it not including a charger, and I don’t particularly want to spend $30 for another official cable on top of the $20 that this is scheduled to go for when it releases in July.

Does this seem like something you would buy? Let us know in the comments.
