New Tomodachi Life Demo Available Today

Tomodachi Life, likely the strangest game that Nintendo has released in years, now has a demo available to freely download on the 3DS eShop. Before today, if you wanted to try the game before you buy, you would have had to find a friend who has the game to give you a code for the “move-in” version. It should be noted though, that this demo is exactly the same as the move-in version minus the panda suit that you get to give to your friend after playing, and that it is only available in the North American eShop for now.

The demo will allow you to put three Miis onto your island and solve five of their problems. Of course, there are always further limitations when it comes to these things, so anyone who downloads the demo will have to deal with the wonderful 20-play limit that seems to have become custom to modern demos. With this game though, that limit won’t really matter, as you’re so limited to what you can do in the demo anyway.

As someone who got the game shortly after launch, I recommend giving the demo a shot. The game isn’t for everyone, but it’s worth seeing if you’ll enjoy it.
