Mortal Kombat X Partners with ESL to Introduce Pro League Season 3, Challenger Cup

Hardcore Mortal Kombat X players can rejoice about today’s announcement from Warner Bros. Interactive, in regards to a new pro league season being put on by the ESL (Electronic Sports League).

Part of a worldwide tour, which will include stops in North America and Europe, Mortal Kombat players will have the opportunity to participate in qualifying tournaments for the ESL Challenger Cup and ESL Mortal Kombat X Pro League Season 3.

As part of an ever-growing initiative to support eSports, Ed Boon (NetherRealm Creative Director), has assured fans that this will be the most intense experience we’ve ever witnessed in the competitive gaming space.

“This is the biggest commitment we’ve made to the eSports scene and with our newly enhanced online experience, we’re looking forward to seeing the intense match-ups at the various tournaments we’re supporting.”
