Mighty No. 9 Set to Launch in Early April 2017

In a random twist of fate, the team behind Mighty No. 9 has miraculously announced that the game is set to be released on April 1st, 2017.

Moving closer to the status of ‘vaporware’ due to technical delays announced in August 2015, fans were beginning to doubt whether the game would ever be released. Fans nearly lost hope in January 2016, when the latest delay refused to mention a firm launch date.

There was much rejoicing in Japan this morning however, when a recent announcement from Keijo Inafune, Keiji Inafune’s long-lost brother and newly appointed Mighty No. 9 Director, was broadcast during a 30 second commercial on Nippon TV.

Like his brother, Keijo-san was very saddened to announce yet another delay, this time over issues regarding the online feature’s bugs seeping into the game’s offline/core features that were in a ‘completed state’ back in August 2015. Rest assured though: Keijo-san continued on by stating that the game will indeed be officially ready by 2017…April 1st to be exact!

While a fourth delay is set to ignite a fury amongst their growingly impatient enthusiasts, there is one positive note to take away from this announcement: the game is certain to generate explosions of laughter (due to excitement…of course…) when it launches next year!
