Today marks the release of the first potentially good Mega Man game since Capcom began ignoring the series and cancelling highly-awaited games. From the name of Mega Man X Street Fighter, you would imagine that it’s a fighting game crossover with characters from the Mega Man series, as well as Street Fighter, but Capcom hired a fan of the series to make the game for them, and it actually plays like a classic Mega Man game. The robot masters have been replaced with Street fighter characters, meaning that you can take their powers after you defeat them. You can find the game currently available for download at the Capcom Unity Mega Man page.

In other great Mega Man news, the classic NES Mega Man games (1-6) are to become available on the 3DS eShop throughout 2013, starting on December 27, and continuing release over the following months.
