Skyward Sword Link

The figure scene in Japan is pretty huge thanks to all the anime, games, and various related content. So its not uncommon to see some awesome video game related figures come out every once in a while. Max Factory is a company that specializes in Figma models, which are figures that come with a variety of accessories, faces, and are extremely posable thanks to the unique joints they use in their figures.

So when they announced back in February that they were working on a Zelda figure based on Skyward Sword, I couldn’t help but be excited. Link comes with the traditional green garb we’ve all come to be familiar with. He comes with a Master Sword that can be sheathed and unsheathed, and the well known Hylian Shield. An added bonus is an effect piece, that makes the sword appear to be in a swiping motion to add to the intense action face that will be included with the set. Also, for the first time in figma history, Link’s feet will include an additional pivot point to allow him to bend at the toes.

Max Factory’s figma Link will retail for ¥3,800 and will be available in October, 2012. No word on when pre-orders will open other than the vague “near future”. So now that figma Link is in color, will you be holding him above your head with joy or will you be leaving him for another adventurer?
