Ever wonder what it would be like to play as one of your favorite movie serial killers from the 1980s? You will have the chance to do so now, as Jason Voorhees (the infamous, hockey-masked serial killer from the Friday the 13th franchise) is now available as downloadable DLC for Mortal Kombat X.

The masked killer is a part of the Jason Voorhees Bundle, which includes three other-horror themed skins for Mileena (Vampiress skin), Reptile (Kraken skin), and Ermac (Pharaoh skin). Owners of the Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack gained early access to download these characters yesterday. Others wanting to purchase the Jason Voorhees Bundle without the Kombat Pack will have to wait until May 12th to do so. The bundle will be sold for $7.99.

Players wishing to purchase Voorhees or the skins separately will also be able to do so on May 12th. Voorhees individually will be sold for $4.99, with the skins being sold for $3.99.

Hopefully Voorhees is just the start of many other serial killers to be added to the game. Here is hoping Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment can work out deals with John Carpenter and Wes Craven to obtain rights for adding Michael Myers (Halloween franchise) and Freddy Krueger (A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise) to the game. We can guarantee that it would make for one gruesomely epic showdown.
