After all the challenges that Yu Narukami and his friends faced during the events of Persona 4, you would think that they would have it easy after solving the mystery of the midnight channel. Fate is against them as a new threat has emerged to challenge them and everyone who is tied to a Persona.
During Golden Week, which is an awesome set of holidays in Japan, a new rumor begins to spread through the town about another mysterious TV Program called the P-1 Grand Prix. Just like the midnight channel, it is visible if you look at TV that is turned off on a rainy night. The P-1 Grand Prix is a fighting tournament which shows high school friends fighting each other to the bitter end. When Yu Narukami and the others test this rumor, they see their friend Teddie announcing the beginning of the show, and are shocked when they see their own faces introduced with twisted nicknames.
The members of the Investigation Team decide to dive into the TV once again to solve the case! What is behind the mysterious TV show?

With the title being developed in conjunction with Arc System Works, who is famous for Blaz Blue and their unique 2D design work, Persona 4 Arena looks to be an interesting title. Who would of guessed that Atlus one of the kings of RPGs and Story driven narratives would even consider making a fighting game.
