Fire Emblem: Awakening is a turn-based strategy game that was announced for the 3DS back at TGS 2011 and was released in Japan back in April, though there was no word on a North American release. Fans of the series were worried that an English version may never see the light of day, but a North American release was confirmed yesterday through a tweet by Nintendo of America. It’s strange that this was not shown during the E3 2012 3DS Software Showcase, but it may be due to a lack of English text currently present in the game.

No other details are given about the release of the title, but at least we know it’s in the works. More information will be available soon, so stay tuned.
