During the Microsoft conference, Ubisoft showcased a bit of their newest installment in the Splinter Cell series, subtitled Blacklist.

Sam Fisher is sent to the Iran-Iraq border for an action-packed mission that involves locating a blacklist made by terrorists. The execution system still appears to be in place, and the game still relies heavily on stealth, even in such a bright sandy location. There are also certain features that can be enhanced by Kinect.

While we don’t see too many of the game’s other features; in addition to the single-player campaign there is going to be co-operative and competitive multiplayer pitting Spies against Mercenaries as well. There is no word on whether it’s exclusive to Xbox 360 or not, but Splinter Cell: Blacklist is set to release in Spring 2013.
