It’s not everyday that you hear two unique, and amazing, studios are working together on an extremely unique project. Especially when they come from different backgrounds in the entertainment field. In one corner we have we have the well respected Studio Ghibli, a master at animation, and considered to be one of the top animation houses in Japan for over the past 30 years. In the other we have the newer, yet well respected Level-5 games, known for their unique approach to interactivity, and their refreshing titles with unique characters. With these two studios working together its hard not to notice the quality.
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, even from the early trailer above, looks to be a really seductively stylized RPG. With a story that starts you in a normal world that quickly spirals into the realm of fantasy, and adventure. With what would seem to be a heart-warming tale of a young boy, who embarks on a journey into a parallel world in an attempt to bring his mother back from the dead. While this story may seem somewhat macabre, and melancholy. The overall adventure of the game is about growth as a person, and making friends along the way.
