Wii Sam and Max to use Miis? *UPDATE*

Posted by Hank Peters in WiiWareNintendo Wii

Because I have a terrible computer that can hardly run this word editor, I have been very excited about Sam and Max Season One coming over to the Wii. Sure, it might have just been a quick and dirty port, but as long as Telltale hasn't tarnished the source material, I could care less. However, while I was taking a quick look at the Amazon page for Sam and Max, something caught my eye.

Product Features

  • New puzzles and mini-games specifically designed for use with the Wiimote
  • Breathtaking third person graphics that truly immerse the player into this thrilling mystery
  • A challenging murder mystery that will stretch the furthest limits of your imagination
  • 20+ hours of engrossing gameplay and fascinating enigmas to resolve
  • New twists-and-turns to the original story, plus a new character has been added ¿ YOU
*emphasis on highlighted
So what exactly does this mean? Has Telltale decided to go to extra lengths to put exclusive content to the Wii edition by putting Miis in the game? Or could this be thinkful wishing on Amazon's part? What do you think?
*UPDATE*
A quick look over at the TellTale forum shows a member also had a question about this. The game description is actually for "Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None", and TellTale is seeking out to fix this error. Sorry folks, looks like this game is not going to have Miis.

Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People finished, release date still unknown

If you're like me, chances are that Telltale's WiiWare outing have been the only game you've been looking forward to during the 2nd Quarter. The game was slated to come out sometime in July, but we have yet to see a solid release date. Telltale has confirmed to IGN that the game has been sent off to Nintendo, but because of the random release schedule that Nintendo has enforced, it is unknown when the game will actually be available.

Although we're not that interested in the two virtual console releases this week, we're actually quite intrigued by Pirates: The Key of Dreams. It's visuals look nice and it appears it is full of some nice mindless shooting fun. Take a look at the video review above to see if it strikes ye pirate fancy.

"Pirates: The Key of Dreams - WiiWare - 1,000 Wii Points
Pirates: The Key of Dreams is a frantic nautical shoot-’em-up. Sail your way across the Caribbean, cannons blazing, looting booty, running blockades and ultimately battling Blackbeard himself. The player takes control of a navy captain sent deep undercover as a ruthless pirate in order to seek out and retrieve the Key of Dreams, a valuable and dangerous cursed artifact. Rescue castaways to bolster your ship’s crew, gaining performance increases to your navigation, weaponry, structural integrity and cartography skills. Collect increasingly powerful weaponry including rockets, mines, chain shot, saw blades and a flamethrower to hurl destruction into the path of your enemies. Play against three of your scurvy friends or A.I. opponents in pitched multiplayer battles over 35 levels, set in seven themed environments. Choose from different ship types that reflect your play style. Play in turbo mode if you’re pirate enough.

Super Fantasy Zone - Genesis - 1992 - 900 Wii Points
The last entry in the Fantasy Zone series, this side-scrolling shooter puts you in the shoes of main character Opa-Opa, who is on a mission to avenge the death of his father. To do so, you’ll have to battle a variety of Enemy Generators to clear out the various levels and finish off the Menon Guardian at the end of the level. Eliminating your enemies will let you rack up some gold, which you can use to buy even better weapons, upgrades and other equipment. Spend your gold wisely, as each different boss you need to defeat presents a unique challenge.  [Published by SunSoft]

Gley Lancer - Genesis - 1992 - 900 Wii Points
In the year 2025, a war breaks out between humans and a hostile alien race, and 16-year-old Lucia and the rest of the starfighter pilots in the Earth Federation must join the battle.
