As with all trips to my local Wal-Marts, this particular trip began with a tour of the electronic isles. Although these trips usually generate little interesting news, this one was different. If you've been in the market for the 80 gigabyte PS3 model that has started trickling into stores, you might be in luck if you check out your local Wal-Mart. If you're not the 80 GB PS3 kind of guy or gal and are more of the DS playing avid Pokemon fan who want's to get their mitts on the Pokemon DS bundle, Wal-Mart might also be the place for you too. Anyone here already get one of these or is on the hunt for one? Let us know in the comments!

CVG is reporting that "development sources" close to them have revealed that PS3 firmware update 2.5 will include a new screen capture function. If this turns out to be true, not only would it be great to take pictures of priceless in game moments you'd like to show off to your friends, but it could come in handy to us reviewers for a nice and easy way to get screen grabs.

That reminds us, do you have any in game moments you're particularly proud about and would like to show off? Go ahead. We're listening....err, reading that is....

Alright, so we are in the final stretch of '08, aka the Holiday season meaning a ton of games are coming out.  So what am I excited for?  Read below.

 Number 10:

Moon (DS)

Moon is a DS game that I kept hearing some hype about but never really cared about.  It's an unknown game with an unknown publisher, Mastiff.  Being devoloped by Renegade Kid, none of their work comes to mind.  When I was reading Matt Cassamassina's blog, as I always do, I saw him remarking about how Moon is a lot like Metroid on the DS done right.  When I heard that from him, I knew that this must be a good game.  I am excited for it, obviously, as it made the list.  It is coming out November 18, 2008.  It is an FPS in which you navigate the Moon fighting aliens.  It sounds cliche, but on the DS it sounds great.  I am really anticipating this game and am excited to play it this holiday season. 

 Number 9:

Samba de Amigo Wii (Wii)

As you know, I am excited about this game.  I really like Sega's classic characters, and while lately we have seen poor renditions of Sonic and NiGHTS, I have faith in our little monkey friend Amigo.  I like the maraccas and hope that this game is good, it is hard for even Sega to ruin a rhythm game.  Comes out September 23, 2008.

Fallout 3 was given a date an Leipzig to be a release of October 28, 2008.  I think I might pick it up.  It's supposed to have 100 hours of gameplay in it alone and is a very interesting style of RPG and FPS mixed together which makes me curious about the game.  I also like the idea of a post-apoclyptic Earth. It is coming out for 360, PS3 and PC.

When you think of PS3 is the first thing you thing of more storage space?  Because Sony decided to announce today the 160 gigabyte PS3 for Europe (most likely coming to America). Its in an Uncharted: Drake's Fortune bundle.

Today at the Leipzeg Game Convention in Germany, at the end of Konami's Press Conference, Lords of Shadow was announced in a quick teaser video showing a man fighting a monster in front of a church with a whip.  So far speculation is that this is a new Castlevania title.  It will be for the Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2010.
