One of the joys of living in Florida is the chance of having your house struck by lightning. I experienced this joy yesterday (Thursday), and as a result of this wonderful experience I will be doing updates as soon as I get my internet connection back.

Thanks for staying tuned,

Legend of Zelda Marathon

We here at VGTribune.com have decided to do something that has probably claimed more lives than World of Warcraft. Yep, thats right. A Zelda marathon. From this Friday (May, 9th) evening to about Sunday evening we will be trying to beat as many 3D console Zelda games as we can. We originally planned to set a speed run record for the series, but we found out that in order to do so, you must be hopped up on a low grade beaver tranquilizer. Why might someone need to be hopped up on low grade beaver tranquilizer? In order to beat Ocarina of Time in two hours and a half. That's why. Instead, we just plan to see how many Zelda games we can beat in this short period of time.

Members of the marathon will be Terry Jackson, David Janovich, and myself, Alexis Santos. We will start in chronological order with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and may even finish off with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. During the course of the marathon we will have a live video feed courtesy of ustream.tv. Just Click the picture above, watch, and be amazed with moving pictures and sound! We plan to start the live video feed this Friday at approximately 6:00 p.m. est., so tune in if you like.

How many Zelda games will we beat? How long will it take us? Will one of us fall asleep? Will we survive? What's that smell?...Oh my God! It's a fire! I gotta go! See you guys Friday!

Well it's over! 48 hours later and we beat 2 games and got through half of Wind Waker. I'll post more details tomorrow, because I am totally exhausted. By the way, High five to the guys at CameronBanga, our brothers from other mothers, for doing a Zelda marathon too and raising money for the Child's Play charity a few months back! You guys are great!

As a result of our ramblings (and mistakes) the following photoshops were made:

Opening Theme on Opening Day!

Posted by Geoffrey Omo in Site News

Ares

Soul Calibur IV

Hello all,

I am Geoffrey, but call me Ares; or Arikado-san (Darn Japanese influences). I am the graphic designer of the website, and I'm thinking of making a Soul Calibur IV theme for VG Tribune's opening day. In which, you the reader-user-member can help me out.

In the poll on the right about the Opening Theme, choose your kind of theme which is provided in the choices. The most votes will become the theme for VG Tribune, the ones that lose will become an option when you choose your template. This means: DON'T RANDOMLY PICK. Choose the one that you like or that fits you! (Choose your side, young member.) But if you can't choose, flip a coin =)!

(I know I'm contradicting myself.)

Also, if you want to suggest a theme, e-mail me at:
