He then went on to show the latest trailer for the game, which also shows the games soon to be infamous opening sequence, of a bird relieving itself on the heroes head.

Wired previews Too Human, finishes it in 10 hours

Wired's Chris Kohler got a chance to preview Silicon Knight's Too Human this weekend and completed the game in 10 hours.

The following two sentences exemplify the feel of Wired's Too Human preview:

"But just as I came to grips with the gameplay, and just as the story seemed as if it was starting to ramp up into overdrive -- the game ended. If you're so inclined, you can slam through Too Human's campaign in a little more than 10 hours, and the story of cybernetically enhanced Norse gods ends with a cliffhanger."

I had high hopes for Too Human, but if there is one thing I hate more than movies that are short and give me a cliff hanger ending, is games that are too short to fully enjoy and "leave me hanging."

Mythos adds "MMO View," more, in newest patch

Mythos

Somehow this nugget of delicious information has slipped past our radar. In Flagship Studios' latest Mythos patch, the addition of "MMO View" joins the isometric (overhead) camera view as an option available for players. Just what is "MMO View?" Besides being a camera view that some players were clamoring for, "MMO View" is the classic over the shoulder view that many, and most, MMOs employ.

Here are your new camera view options:

Isometric Style: The original overhead view.

Isometric Orbit Style: Over head view in which the camera turns with you.

MMO Style: Over the shoulder view.

MMO Outdoor Only: Overhead view only used in dungeons.

The full, long, list of updates included in the patch are after the jump!

By the way...Are we the only ones who think of beef jerky nuggets when we say  nugget of delicious information?

(Note: Mytos is still in closed beta. Open beta is said to be soon. And it's PC only at this point.)

Fable 2 ships in October?

Fable 2 in October?
Peter Molyneux jots down October and "boxes it in" on a notebook.

We've had hints that Fable 2 would be out by this holiday season, but now we may have a bit more specific release date.

Two of Peter Molyneux's (Fable Game Designer Extraordinaire) earlier hints of a release date:

"When the leaves turn brown."

"When the evenings draw in, and it gets a little chilly, but not very chilly at night.

Our latest, more blatant, hint comes in the form of video. The ever eagle eyed posters over at the NeoGAF forums have spotted a couple of seconds in the sixth Fable 2 developer diary in which Peter Molyneux writes "October" in his notebook and draws a box around it. Could this be another hint from Molyneux? One thing is (almost) for sure, if it's coming out this year (which it more than likely is), we'll hear about it at E3.

World of Warcraft Prepaid Card

According to Blizzard's Rob Pardo, Senior VP of Game Design, World of Warcraft was originally going to be a free-to-play MMO earning it's revenue from advertisements. Revealing this at the Paris Game Developers Conference, Pardo also said that "market conditions" forced them to go the you-have-to-play-$30-to-play-for-2-months-and-we-know-you-will-pay-because-you-love-this-game route.
