Bungie: We're all hard at work on something new

Click to play in new window.

Although Bungie missed it's chance to reveal their new Halo related project at this years E3, it seems like they're adamant about missing any chances to tease us. Luke Smith, former Kotaku and 1up writer who now works at Bungie Public Relations, teases us with a new project above in Bungie's video response to winning Edge's Innovation Award for Halo 3.

"Even though in Halo 3 you finished the fight, that doesn't necessarily mean the fight is over. Wait a second...there is no way we're showing this yet! Thanks again Edge, I'm sure we'll be talking to you guys soon. And don't show this to the internet."

Ah, well...I'm sorry blue spartan with Luke Smith's voice. They did show it to the internet. And now we know that you know that we know because you wanted us to know about about another Halo related project, that's not Halo, that's currently being worked on.

What do you guys think the mystery project is? Sound off in the comments!

Videogame Spotting in Videogame Spotting: Halo boxers

While reading Alexis' article regarding Nintendo related energy drinks, I couldn't help but notice something odd in the backround. I did a little extra scouting, and I found myself a pair of Halo themed boxers. Now, this might just be another rumor, but I believe that these are actually the pair that Master Chief used himself in the Halo games, loaded with extra crotch protection. Crotch-tastic!

Half of Rare is working on unannounced projects

A Rareware Christmas

Nick Burton, a senior software engineer at Rare, told Videogamer.com that half of Rare was working on unannounced projects.

Nick Burton:

"All I can say is, you know about VP2 (Viva Piñata Trouble in Paradise), Viva Piñata on DS, Banjo obviously. There's a couple of things on the roster that are going to be pretty cool as well. Obviously you do the math. Look at the size and how big the Banjo team currently needs to be, how big our shared technology group and asset group are. Look at the number of games and how they're staggered and how many teams we have. There's about half the studio missing from the release schedule at the moment (laughs)."

What could be Rare be working on? More bears with back packs and a bird in them? More magical multicolored mating pinatas?  Or how about a new IP? Although we here at VGTribune.com have always hoped for another Rare developed Donkey Kong, we know it's nearly impossible that will happen. What do you think they're working on? Let us know in the comments!

Molyneux: We've got plans for Fable 3, 4 and 5; another project at Lionhead

Posted by Alexis Santos in Microsoft Xbox 360MicrosoftLionhead StudiosAdventure

Alexis Santos

We're just under 2 months away from popping Fable 2 into our XBOX 360's and here we are getting a confirmation that more Fable games are planned. Not only do we have 3 more Fable games to look forward to, but we can also look froward to a new project from Lionhead Studios. Although Molyneux says he "can't say anything about it at all," we do know that the game in question is "kind of the result of an experiment that went incredibly well."

Now if you'll excuse us, this blogger must go and freeze himself so the wait for Fable 2 will seem nonexistent. Then, rinse and repeat for Fables 3, 4, 5 and Lionhead's secret project.

360 Dashboard update available today (If you have a modded console)

Posted by Alexis Santos in ModsMicrosoft Xbox 360Microsoft

Although the details are shady, it appears you can update your XBOX 360 can be updated to the new "Xbox Experience" dashboard that was shown off at E3 if it's modded properly. If you're the daring kind who does have a modded 360 and would like to update to the fall dashboard early, keep in mind that you have to have an " Infectus 2 Chip in the system for this work." As for us, we're more of the arts and crafts risk takers, not the "This may brick my Xbox 360" risk takers.
