The Megaman 3 theme song with lyrics, lolz a plenty

Posted by Alexis Santos in VideoRetroCultureCapcom

Since game theme songs are usually just midi, orchestral, or the classic beeps and boops, one gamer decided to change that by adding lyrics. Well, at least with the Megaman 3 theme song. Not only are the lyrics synched to the music extremely well, but there are also plenty of "lawls" to be had.

Our love for killing zombies not only applies to videogames, but it also applies to watching zombies being killed in game trailers, especially in the Resident Evil 5 "Leipzig" trailer above. Facing a zombie with a giant axe? Great! Killing zombies on motorcycles? Even better! This footage just makes the wait to the title's May launch date even longer.

The A.V. Club asks Mike Patton about Bionic Commando, voice work, and Rock Band

Posted by Hank Peters in Sony PlayStation 3Microsoft Xbox 360InterviewCapcomAction

Hank_Peters

One of my favorite vocalists, who happens to be in a few of my favorite bands, just recently did an interview with the A.V. Club regarding his recent input on voice acting for games and movies. The interview also goes off into focusing on his future music plans, and even talks about how he'd love to see a bunch of 10 year olds make music with Rock Band.

AVC: How does working on videogame voiceovers differ from, say, your work on I Am Legend?

MP: Well, I Am Legend was basically me screaming my balls off for four hours and not knowing what they were going to do with it. There was no script, no lines I had to read. It was basically a big screen in front of me, and they'd play a scene once, and I'd kind of memorize the action and then improvise. So in some ways, that was more like doing a vocal improv. The other stuff I've done has been much more scripted. You'd say one line, like, "I'm going to the store," and you'd say it 10 different ways. With I Am Legend basically I was doing much more sound design type of work.

Capcom announces Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop for Wii

Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop logo for Wii

After having seen scans of a Wii iteration of Dead Rising this weekend, today we have finally gotten an official announcement of Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop for Wii from Capcom. Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop uses the same engine that the Wii edition of Resident Evil 4 and although we have no specific on controls yet, rest assured it uses the Wii remote and nunchuck for added Zombie slaying realism.

If your not familiar with the zombie slaying story form the XBOX 360 version, mosey your eyes down over to the blurb from the press release below.

"Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop follows the harrowing tale of Frank West, an overly zealous freelance journalist on a hunt for the scoop of a lifetime. In pursuit of a juicy lead, he makes his way to the small suburban town of Willamette only to find that it has become overrun by zombies. Frank escapes to the local shopping mall, thinking it will be a bastion of safety but it turns out to be anything but. It will be a true struggle to survive the endless stream of enemies, but players will have full reign of a realistic shopping centre and its varied stores offering an endless supply of real and makeshift weapons to fight off the flesh-hungry mob. If Frank is running low on health he can pay a visit to one of the many restaurants or cafes for a meal in order to restore his energy and continue the fight.

Those of you who were hankering for a "hardcore," gustsy game on Wii, besides No More Heroes, will be satisfied this winter when Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop will be on retail shelves.

You can see 5 snazzy looking screenshots in all their undead glory after the jump, but keep in mind this game is rated M for Mature (17+ people!). If you are unsettled by Zombie gore, please point your browser to the next story.

Spyborgs will "max out" the Wii, No E3 showing

Christian Svensson, Capcom's Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business development, has said that Capcom's recently announced title, Spyborgs, will not be featured at E3 because "low for a bit until we're ready for a bigger reveal (similar to what we did with the Dark Void announcement last October with the bigger reveal at Captivate)." Svensson also responded to several forum posts that asked if Spyborgs would "make full use of wii's power" in terms of graphics by saying "Spyborgs will be that product. Wait and see." Awwww, I guess I can't say we'll find out at E3 this time. :(
