Development of Disaster: Day of Crisis has been a disaster

Although we knew development problems played a large part in delaying Disaster: Day of Crisis, we finally have some details of what exactly made it's development a disaster.

Some Fun Facts:
- Developers began working on Disaster again in early 2007, following Nintendo’s approval
- 2006 build had very little waggle functions and used the classic controller - developers delayed it into 2008 so that the game could be rethought and add in waggle
- Developers want to make a sequel, but that will only happen based on sale numbers. However, Monolith is mainly an RPG developer, so the producer will probably want to make an RPG game instead.

Xbox 360 "Slim" confirmed

Xbox 360

This isn't it folks. It's just an atrist's concept.

At a recent event held in Delhi, Microsoft India revealed some very key information on the future of Xbox and the present. At the event they confirmed that the long rumored Xbox 360 Slim is actually real and that we should wait for an announcement sometime in December. The new version of the Xbox 360 was once rumored to be revealed in 2009, but know we now see that this rumor was actually wrong. Microsoft India has also officially announced its new Xbox 360 package deal for India, which is an 360 Core console, a 20 GB HDD, one wireless controller and free copies of Viva Pinata and Forza 2.

Now that's the way to expand your console's life span, a redesign. Although It worked for Sony, the PS2 was already getting long in the tooth. Do you think this would be a hit or a miss for Microsoft? Let us know in the comments!

It's on like Donkey Kong!

It's on like Donkey Kong! Me vs The site!

Alright guys, I've finally had it with the system the site is running on and am feverishly working on a redesign. It's me vs the site's code right now, and it's getting really ugly (It already gave me a black eye). But not to worry, the new site should be up soon with faster load times and new features. It may not be fully functional at relaunch but it's better than not being able to see a story thats supposed to be there (ie look two stories below).

On a side note, our podcast is up now, but we're holding off on posting a link until iTunes has added it to their systems. Anyway, heres to hoping my battle with the site is short and victorious for me. If you've got any words of encouragement to keep me feverishly working on redesigning the site, feel free to drop us a line in the comments. Or, if your not the speaking kind, you could always donate some green to the site by clicking the "Donate" button on the right side bar. Yes, popular to contrary belief the gnomes who ride the bicycles to power the server actually have to be paid. It's a necessary evil.

It's time to finish the fight! (Halo 3 reference woefully intended.)

Call of Duty World At Ware beta signups begin

Posted by Alexis Santos in Untagged

Thanks to Sky Hawk we now know that the sign ups for the Call of Duty World at War beta have just begun.  Here's a little tip from the hawk himself:

One thing I'd like to mention from the FAQ is that those who transfer there CharlieOscarDelta accounts to CallofDuty.com have more of a chance of receiving a beta token. Pre-ordering the game gives you a far better chance than that. Go check out the FAQ for more info on this and more on Callofduty.com

Thanks Sky Hawk! Now if you'll excuse us, we're off to sign up for the beta here. You can catch the full beta FAQ after the jump.
