Wii Sam and Max to use Miis? *UPDATE*

Posted by Hank Peters in WiiWareNintendo Wii

Because I have a terrible computer that can hardly run this word editor, I have been very excited about Sam and Max Season One coming over to the Wii. Sure, it might have just been a quick and dirty port, but as long as Telltale hasn't tarnished the source material, I could care less. However, while I was taking a quick look at the Amazon page for Sam and Max, something caught my eye.

Product Features

  • New puzzles and mini-games specifically designed for use with the Wiimote
  • Breathtaking third person graphics that truly immerse the player into this thrilling mystery
  • A challenging murder mystery that will stretch the furthest limits of your imagination
  • 20+ hours of engrossing gameplay and fascinating enigmas to resolve
  • New twists-and-turns to the original story, plus a new character has been added ¿ YOU
*emphasis on highlighted
So what exactly does this mean? Has Telltale decided to go to extra lengths to put exclusive content to the Wii edition by putting Miis in the game? Or could this be thinkful wishing on Amazon's part? What do you think?
*UPDATE*
A quick look over at the TellTale forum shows a member also had a question about this. The game description is actually for "Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None", and TellTale is seeking out to fix this error. Sorry folks, looks like this game is not going to have Miis.

Metallic Silver DS Lite heading to store shelves?

GameStop Metallic Silver DS Lite listing

If the picture to the left of a GameStop listing is correct, we may be seeing a Metallic Silver DS Lite coming out very soon. Maybe even as soon as September 7th, if the date next to the listing is correct. So what about the $25 price next to the listing? Don't get your hopes up. It's more than likely a place holder price or the cost to reserve a Metallic Silver DS Lite.

So, who's up for a silver colored DS Lite?

inFamous G4 Video, Click To Play In New Window

Click to play in new window.

When we first heard about Sony's inFamous, we weren't too thrilled. Yes, the prospect of playing a human with super powers in an open world sounded fun ( albeit a tad cliché), but can Sucker Punch Productions pull it off? By the looks of the new video, it looks like they can.

Any game in which you can ride atop a moving train piques our interest. We're not exactly sure why, but we have a hunch that it could be some long lost hobo genes within us. And whaddya know? G4's exclusive direct feed gameplay video starts off with a guy on top of a moving train. With train surfing, gorgeous graphics, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, and lightning shooting from the main character's hands, inFamous looks to be shaping up quite nicely.

Captain Rainbow theme song, official site

Although we're not as fond of Captain Rainbow's theme song as we are his other videos, we'll let it slide. Your still one weird super hero to us, Captain. After all who could who could hold a grudge against someone who has such a sweet belt? From Captain Rainbow's official site, which recently opened, we can gather that the Skip developed title will launch August 28 in Japan.

You can check out the Capn's Wikipedia page here for more info on his game.

Dear Treyarch,

Although the co-op footage above looks good, we're still a bit hesitant. Please, Treyarch...don't let this be another Call of Duty 3. You know exactly what we mean...

Hoping Call of Duty: World at War is as god as it looks,

PlayStation Home beta

The folks over at the PlayStation blog have announced that they have begun accepting "applications" for the PlayStation Home closed beta.

"Later today, the PLAYSTATION Store will be updated with a PlayStation Home theme. By downloading the theme, users are submitting an application to join the PlayStation Home Beta test community. We will be using a variety of criteria including activity on the PLAYSTATION Network to determine eligibility for the Beta community."

Videogame Spotting in Videogame Spotting: Halo boxers

While reading Alexis' article regarding Nintendo related energy drinks, I couldn't help but notice something odd in the backround. I did a little extra scouting, and I found myself a pair of Halo themed boxers. Now, this might just be another rumor, but I believe that these are actually the pair that Master Chief used himself in the Halo games, loaded with extra crotch protection. Crotch-tastic!
