Chrono Trigger

Today the Chrono Trigger release date was announced via press release to be November 25th, 2008.  Alongside it was the announcement of extra dungeons in the game and a new arena mode.  More details on these new modes as they come.

Personally, I am very excited for this game since I have never gotten to play it.  I'm actually really happy they are keeping the same graphical style since the main reason I have not played it is I do not feel like shelling out $100 to buy it for my SNES on eBay.

For all of our Australian readers good news, the release and price of the Sony 80 gig PS3 was just announced (which by the way, I'm trying to get one and they are sold out everywhere, Metal Gear Solid 4 for ya), the release date will be August 28th with a MSRP of $699 dollars (even in the conversion rate that still sounds like a lot).  It will be packaged with a Dualshock 3 Controller.

High Voltage wants The Conduit to feature LAN multiplayer

There's  a reason why people keep saying that The Conduit is the most important 3rd-Party Wii title. Even if it did have a publisher it's still one of the most ambitious games coming to the system. High Voltage is really trying their best to make The Conduit a solid "A+" game, featuring impressive visuals brought to the table with the Wii specific Quantum3 engine, 16 player online multiplayer deathmatch modes, and the first 3rd-party Wii game to use WiiSpeak accessory for online voice chat.

Well some more good news has come out from Chief Creative Officer of High Voltage. During an interview with 4 Color Rebellion, Eric Nofsinger stated that "Our plan is to deliver a solid multiplayer experience both online and LAN" when asked about multiplayer features. I had tons of fun with the system link feature in Halo's multiplayer, and I really hope The Conduit can emulate the sheer joy of swearing to friends across the room and yelling "SCREEN LOOKER!" for hours on end.

I am left speechless: Idiot parents let child drop out of school to play Guitar Hero

There seems to be some sort of mental time-bomb that is resting deep in the minds of almost every adult over the age of 35. At this point in time, the time-bomb planted in their head goes off, and they become incredibly stupid and lack knowledge in anything that involves circuits and everything that is plugged into a wall.

The Peebles are no different. Why, you ask? Because they let their child drop out of high school so he could play Guitar Hero more. The little snot kept whining until he drove his parents out of their sanity. It's almost comforting to know that he still is home schooled, but I still can't get over the fact that his parents agreed to let him quit school so he could play video games. I would understand if the kid wanted to drop out of normal high school to become a composer or (don't laugh) an actual guitar player, as long as the parents relocate him to a more appropriate institute. But to mash five colored buttons on a piece of plastic? ...I'm left speechless.

Kater's Return, Exclusive beta testing of The Ruins of Balam

Okay everyone I'm back.  Sorry that I was gone.  I was away at Carnegie Mellon for six weeks at a program for Game Programming, Design, and Art.  It's a pre-college.  Don't fret though because for all VGTribune Members I will be emailing out a Beta of The Ruins of Balam, a game I made in a small development team while I was there.  That's not all however, starting either tomorrow or Monday the Kater Live Stream Show starts back up with Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots after the unwrapping my new PS3.  So look forward in the next month to Beta testing The Ruins of Balam (PC only), watching MGS 4, and some awesome news.  I might have another game surprise in September :D.

Godfather II Exclusive Trailer

Posted by Alexis Santos in Sony PlayStation 3PC MacMicrosoft Xbox 360

Mmmmmm world exclusive trailer. Although world exclusives are always tasty, the graphics on this one remind us a bit too much of Grand Theft Auto. But that didn't stop it's predecessor from selling well last time. We expect this one will do just as well, if not better. The God Father II is only for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, there's no The God Father: The Black Hand love for Wii as of yet. Do we have any God Father fans excited for the game out there? Now if you'll excuse us, we'll get back to listening to Jonathan Coulton songs as we get ready to move our "offices."
