"Free" Madden Xbox 360 demo for the low, low price of $5.97

Madden promo at 7-11

If for some reason you like paying for stuff that you can normally get for free, head on over to a 7-11. If you purchase a Madden Meal at 7-11, as seen in above photo, you will get a "free"  Madden NFL 09 Xbox 360 demo disk. If you've ran out of hard drive space or don't have an internet connection to download the (completely free) demo, this would be a great way to get your hands on a  Madden NFL 09 Xbox 360 demo. Wait...if you don't have an internet connection....how are you reading this?! And for those of you that can download the demo online, it's best that your $5.97 goes to pre-ordering Spore or something.

You can see a non cardboard version of the meal and find out what's on the demo disk after the jump.

Zelda Marathon scores over $1,300, why haven't you donated yet?

Marathons have a pretty big following here with the VGTribune staff, and we like to try to keep you up to date whenever any big marathon pops up. Well right now, the same people behind the Mario Marathon are at it once more, and they have set out to beat 7 Zelda games in 70 hours. They have also have a donation window open, and all donations go to Child's Play. The current donation count is somewhere around $1,300, and the team sets to have over $2,000 by the end of the day. Right now the team is playing Minish Cap, which I have not seen on the list. Either they beat all the games already and they're killing time, or they decided to start finishing all the 2-D Zelda games.

You can watch the marathon on ustream.tv, or by clicking the header image.

vNES, or "How to Escape From Your Mundane Deskjob"

Posted by Hank Peters in NintendoNES

I had been a big follower of this website since before it had it's own URL, but it never dawned on me to write a post about it.  That is, untill I showed it to Alexis. Lazy to post any other news at the moment, I told him that I was doing research and by 'research' I mean 'playing through the Turbo Tunnel level of Battletoads over and over and over again'.

The website has over 765 games, including your old favorites such as Contra, Metal Gear, Super Mario Bros, and Castlevania, and also features older obscure titles such as the infamous Bible Adventures. The vNES is powered by Java, so it pretty much works with any computer. I don't know how spot on the emulation is, but I didn't see any noticable errors. If you want to kill time on your coffee break (and your whole friggin' work day), no flash game portal can compare to the almight power of the NES.

American McGee's Grimm, free on Game Tap today

If you haven't played American McGee's Grimm yet, you're missing out on some good stuff. But don't worry, today seems to be your day! If you head on over to Game Tap before the day is over, you can sign up for free, if you haven't already, and download a free "episode" of American McGee's Grimm for your PC. Mac users, I'm sad to say this party is for PC's only. Get to the downloading! What are you waiting for?
