Who says gamers have to await a new Chrono Trigger entry to truly enjoy the series in this current gaming era? Fans can continue to experience the nostalgia behind the series’ older games, with the recent release of Chronicles of Time, a 75-track album that pays tribute to the SNES masterpiece.

Created and produced by the team behind Spectrum of Mana (the highly-successful tribute album to Secret of Mana), Chronicles of Time is the direct byproduct of over 200 artists who worked diligently to re-imagine the beloved SNES-era RPG soundtrack originally composed by Yasunori Mitsuda.

Chronicles of Time is broken up into 5 discs, which are cleverly segmented by the eras portrayed in the game. The album’s organizer, Nate Horsfall, noted that this monumental musical endeavor was wanted by many on the team. It’s great to hear their desire for giving back to Chrono Trigger fans!

“Following up Spectrum of Mana for us was no easy task, but the team felt strongly that we should tackle Chrono Trigger.”

Nate Horsfall (Main Organizer, Chronicles of Time)

The album is now available for digital download on LOUDR and iTunes. Links to the album have been provided below.
