NintendoDirect4.08.14

It’s that time of the …. Year?  Month?  Software Development Life Cycle? … again?

Whatever time of whenever it is, what we do know is that it is time for another Nintendo Direct.  This time is supposed to solely focus on Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.

The scheduled start time for this event is 3:00 PM PDT (5:00 PM CDT and 6:00 PM EDT).

The Live Stream and our interactive coverage via Live Blog will be after the jump, so click away if you have not already done so.

Another mid-February means another Nintendo Direct!  Like Nintendo Directs past, this appears to be a world-wide simultaneous message.  Unlike Nintendo Directs past, this is in the afternoon North America time instead of early in the morning.  This means that it is late night for our friends in Europe and early Friday morning for those in Japan.

The Nintendo Direct is scheduled to start at 2PM PST (5PM EST), which is about 30 min from the time of posting this article and is to last approximately 41 minutes.  If you would like to watch the live stream and follow along with our live coverage of the stream, click the link below.  Commenting and other participation in the blog is welcome.

This morning’s Nintendo Direct will start at 7AM PDT (10AM EDT) and is supposed to cover games with release dates for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games that will be coming out before the end of the year.

With the Wii U System Update that went out late last night allowing for off-screen play for Wii Mode content, people have been talking on Twitter about Wii U all night.  Let’s hope the news we get from this presentation makes people continue to talk.

NintendoDirect.6.11.13

Starting at 7AM PDT / 10AM EDT, Nintendo will air a presumably extended (at least in North America) version of Nintendo Direct instead of their traditional E3 press event in the Nokia Theater.

With no new hardware to show for the first time in several years, today should be all about the games.  Anticipated games include Smash Bros., the new 3D Mario, the new 3D Zelda, and a handful of people that I know are hoping for some sort of Metroid reveal.

[UPDATE]: Due to technical difficulties, the North American stream was pretty much down from the start.  We did find the UK stream and watched and live blogged that.

Click the link below for the NA version of the Nintendo Direct via YouTube, which should be significantly more stable.

Items of interest:

  • Fairy type in Pokemon confirmed.
  • New Mario for Wii U is Super Mario 3D World.
  • Retro is making a new DKC game.
  • Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS will be out in 2014 and will include “The Villager” from Animal Crossing and Megaman.
  • Several third party games were mentioned with release dates in UK, so I presume that NA also has release dates with the video.

e3 2013

The first of four press events start at 12:30 EDT, 9:30 PDT:  Microsoft.

We’re expecting to hear less about the hardware and internal software as revealed last month and more about the games that will be coming out for the new Xbox One.  Rumor is that about 20 games will be covered.  Not sure if this is all exclusive to the Xbox One, but I would assume all launch window titles.
