With the release of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction last week we thought Wallpaper Wednesday should be bullet ridden in its honor. You can download the wallpaper set here. Don’t worry, you’re desktop size is somewhere within that zip file! If not, let us know in the comments and we’ll take care of it!

Not only are we a day late, but we’ll make you $8.99 short if you’re a Final Fantasy fan. With the release of Final Fantasy XIII, fans have been mesmerized by it’s graphics and if they can steal away from them for just a moment, they begin to go through withdrawal. “How can we give our loyal subjects the ecstatic wundr of Final Fantasy XIII on the go?,” asked Square Enix.

The answer they came up with was the Final Fantasy XIII Larger-Than-Life art gallery on the iTunes App store. It’s essentially a digitized collector’s edition art book on your iPhone with a calendar and clock function. Let’s ignore the fact that we’re viewing high definition images on a low definition screen. “The iPhone has a high definition screen!” No friends, despite what Wii owners tell you, 480P is not high definition.

While we think the idea is intriguing as it brings the idea of an interactive art book or magazine to life, we’re not sure how long this can entertain even the most dedicated hard Final Fantasy Fan. Questions, comments, suggestions, ideas to solve world hunger? Let us know in the Comments!
