Well, well, well. It looks as though Sega is teasing yet another announcement, just in time for the Tokyo Game Show. Their announcement/teaser on Code 1935 shows a tank and a silhouetted group of what looks to be anime style combat troops with the text “Top Secret” and “Not to be opened till 9.16″.

While it is not confirmed, all signs seem to be pointing to another Valkyria Chronicles title. The series, which has developed into a niche success story, has a rather large and devoted fanbase and is already quite popular in Japan. Either way, we’ll know for sure on September 16th.

Originally released in North America on August 29th, 2000. Valkyrie Profile was a game developed by Tri-Ace and published by Enix. Valkyrie Profile was named for the distinctive 2D “profile” (side-view) perspective that most of the game takes place in; while the other part was for the mythology in entailed.

The game dealt with a large assortment of characters all who die tragically in some way or form. Fighting for what they believe in, and trying their best to do whats right. You would think death would be the end of them, but, since it deals with Norse Mythology, they are given a second chance as warriors of Odin. As the main character, Lenneth, saves their souls and offers them a chance to fight for what is right.

The game was known for its dungeon exploration. Since it played like a platformer, allowing you to explore with Lenneth, who could jump, slide, swing her sword, and shooting ice crystals. All of which were used to solve a variety of puzzles, and as a way to deal with the enemies on screen (that is before jumping into the RPG battle mechanic).

It was a great game for its time, and has aged noticeably well. Considering the fact that Square-Enix put out a PSP version of the game in 2006. It’s a great game and well worth seeking out to play. Does anyone have found memories of Valkyrie Profile?

Somewhere between heaven and the underworld — in the center of a quiet lake — stood an ancient castle known as Aventheim. One night, without warning, denizens of the netherworld emerged and slaughtered the kingdom; nary a soul was left alive.

Within an abandoned, long-forgotten church deep in the woods, a wisp is set free. Bereft of memory, it is drawn toward the monster-infested castle and re-awakens the souls of the vanquished knights, leading them back towards the fallen stronghold to confront the very forces of evil that took their lives.

Available October 2010.

Sometimes, I wonder why parents give these children webcams and computers with internet access.

It looks as if Pong has slighted the Xbox 360 Game Room and is making its way to the PlayStation 3 and the PSP very soon. The folks over at the ESRB have rated Pong for the PlayStation 3 and PSP.

With Namco Bandai ready to show off “next evolution” of Pac-Man at E3, could Atari be making the same move? We think Pong fans wouldn’t be opposed to some classic Pong action even if it isn’t in 3D .

I don’t know what you guys think about Kevin Butler. If you like him, hate him or just think he’s a great personification (Yes I really used that word in a article) of Sony’s smugness put into one guy but personally I lean towards the later and because of that I actually like him. And as such I am loving this latest video staring him playing Modnation racers against the one and only Jack Tretton. So if you want to hear some horrendous one liners and Xbox live style dissing go watch the video now.

It’s a huge day for fans of Disney/Square Enix’s “Kingdom Hearts”, as Squeenix has just announced the release date for a new game in the series: Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep.  Unfortunately, if you’ve been wishing for a Kingdom Hearts game on the PS3, you’ll be waiting a little longer, as “Birth by Sleep” will be released exclusively on the Playstation Portable.

Introduced as a prequel to the super popular series, Birth by Sleep uncovers the Disney worlds as they were before Sora and his keyblade were brought together.  What Disney worlds will you explore this go-around?  Squeenix lists Sleeping Beauty’s Enchanted Dominion, the Dwarf Woodlands from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Deep Space from Lilo & Stitch.

Birth by Sleep will also include some new multiplayer features that will allows you to enjoy the game with your friends.

In addition to the brand new game, Square Enix and Sony have teamed up to release a new PSP bundle.  This bundle will include the new Kingdom Hearts game, a “Mystic Silver” PSP-3000, one UMD movie (no title listed yet) and a 4gb Memory Stick Pro Duo.

You can get both the game and the PSP bundle in North America on September 7th, 2010.
