Dark Red Faction Darksiders owners get free copy of Red Faction: Guerrilla

For those of you who bought Darksiders back in January, do you remember the card with the mystery code and in huge letters “DO NOT DISCARD”? Well for the people who wound up throwing out you’re really going to be kicking yourself in the head. THQ recently revealed that the code can be used to get a free copy of Red Faction: Guerrilla for either the PS3 or Xbox360.

With the download code you get:

  • A digital Hellbook disc featuring Darksiders art, videos, and other stuff!
  • A free copy of Red Faction: Guerrilla for either PS3 or Xbox 360.
  • There’s only one catch to this redemption, you have to pay money for shipping. You go on their website and enter the redemption code, choose which version of Red Faction you want (PS3 or Xbox 360), but then are prompted to enter credit card information to  pay for the extra shipping cost. Other than that this is a steal! If you were thinking about getting Red Faction in the past, and thought about buying Darksiders then why not get both for practically the price of one! It’s a great deal, and I’m sure that you’ll appreciate the it after you have both games in your possession and running on your consoles.

    Section 8

TimeGate Studios’ beta for”Section 8,” one of their sci-fi shoot-em-ups for the PC and Xbox 360, is one of the recent games I’ve started to get addicted to. Although it is still in its beta stages, the game shows a lot of promise and only a few small tweaks need to be made here and there. Section 8 is starting to take the shape of a well balanced FPS.  For all you FPS fans out there I recommend you give it a try, unless you have already.

The download and additional details for the PC version can be found at the following link and there is also a Xbox 360 demo available on Xbox Live.

In a recent press release Activision and developer Treyarch have announced that the brand new Call of Duty World at War Map Pack  was downloaded by over 1 million paying users across it’s first weekend.

The 3rd Map Pack for the game was released to users on both Xbox Live and The Playstation Network on August 6th and has managed to draw a very impressive 1 million downloads during it’s first weekend.

“The support and enthusiasm from the Call of Duty: World at War online community is tremendous,” said Mark Lamia, studio head of Treyarch. “The team is appreciative that so many players from around the world have continued to enjoy the game and all of the downloadable content that we have produced.”

With this latest pack, all three map packs for World at War now total a combined 6.5 million downloads worldwide, and counting which is pretty damn impressive considering the scepticism the game received from many loyal long-time Call Of Duty fans.
