Duke Nukem Forever back from the dead?

Published by Jake Barber in News. 2 Comments

According to GamingBolt, Duke Nukem Forever is back from the dead and it’s coming to PAX. This is absolutely unbelievable. And when I say “unbelievable,” I literally mean that I refuse to believe it until I see it.

It appears that after years of rumours Sony has decided to get into the iTunes scene and start there own cloud based music system. At IFA 2010, Sony has revealed that its system will be called Music Unlimited and will be launched later this year. The reason that this is exciting and gaming related is because Sony will be pushing the system as much as possible, be it in the PlayStation 3, their VAIO laptops, Bravia TV’s and perhaps the PSP. Details are still scarce at the moment but stay tuned for more information. Personally, I am hoping Sony topples Apple. What about you?

New Kirby’s Epic Yarn Trailer

If you would have told me in the beginning of this year that my most anticipated game of 2010 would be a Kirby title, I would’ve said you were crazy. I mean don’t get me wrong, I love the older Kirby games like Superstar, 64, and Adventure but the puffball has seen better days. And yet, at E3 2010, Kirby’s Epic Yarn came along and strung its way into my heart. The art style, the fabric-manipulating gameplay and the co-op aspects were all immediately appealing to me and now every media asset released for the game tends to get me to drool over it.

So needless to say, I was extremely excited when I woke up and saw that Nintendo of Japan had released a new gameplay trailer for Kirby’s Epic Yarn overnight. The trailer shows off more of Kirby’s new transformations like Dolphin Kirby and Firetruck Kirby along with the reveal of a popular Kirby character who is making his triumphant return in Kirby’s Epic Yarn. Check out the trailer and let us know what you thought in the comments section!

UPDATE: This has since been proven false thanks to the good men over at Pokejungle. Shame too, because Smugleaf’s final evolution looked great.

The day that all you Pokefans have been waiting for is finally here. Thanks to a leak via Japanese website 2ch, it seems as though the evolutions for the starter Pokemon in Black and White (lovingly nicknamed Smugleaf, Pignition and Wotter) have finally been revealed. Initially, I was hesitant to post the news when I saw it last night but, since then, Serebii Joe of Serebii.net has deemed it plausible enough to warrant a posting on his website and that is usually a good sign.

Read what Joe had to say about the situation and see what the starter evolutions look like after the jump.

Microsoft has revealed today that Sonic Adventure will be coming to Xbox Live Arcade starting September 15th. Sonic Adventure is the first in a series of Sega Dreamcast titles that they plan to bring to Xbox Live Arcade with added features including Achievements, with one of those other titles being the popular Crazy Taxi.

Sonic Adventure will be released on XBLA on September 15th for 800 MS points. That’s right, $10 for the Dreamcast game that started it all. It’s a steal but let’s face it. The game will probably go unnoticed because all of you Xbots out there will be playing Halo Reach, which drops a day earlier on September 14th.

Well, well, well. It looks as though Sega is teasing yet another announcement, just in time for the Tokyo Game Show. Their announcement/teaser on Code 1935 shows a tank and a silhouetted group of what looks to be anime style combat troops with the text “Top Secret” and “Not to be opened till 9.16″.

While it is not confirmed, all signs seem to be pointing to another Valkyria Chronicles title. The series, which has developed into a niche success story, has a rather large and devoted fanbase and is already quite popular in Japan. Either way, we’ll know for sure on September 16th.

Alongside the recent Epic Mickey collector’s edition, Disney’s giving us this great special edition for Tron: Evolution. If you haven’t heard, it’s kind of a big deal. It’s also kind of a big price. More info after the jump!

A reminder that Steve Jobs is going to be taking the stage in Cupertino tomorrow for their yearly music event. VGTribune won’t be there, but we’ll do our best to keep you up to date via Twitter.

- The release of iOS 4.1 along with Game Center (Apple’s take on an X-Box Live-esque social network)
- Talk of iOS 4 coming to the iPad
- Changes to iTunes, including potential streaming or social additions, as well as $0.99 TV show rentals.
- iTV, a rebranding and revamping of the Apple TV, now running on iOS with access to the App Store.

EA has revealed a trailer for the upcoming ‘Ulimate Edition’ of the successful Battlefield Bad Company 2. This copy includes

  • Battlefield Bad Company 2
  • Onslaught Mode DLC
  • Battlefield 1943

The trailer (which was leaked a little early) claims that the ultimate edition is available now for Xbox 360 and PS3. However, a PC copy is nowhere to be found due to DICE’s constant delay of the PC version of Battlefield 1943.

This version releasing from the developer claiming they’re a major player in the PC game market. Mhmm…
