In today’s entry of Blast From the Past: A Guide to Local Retro Video Game Stores, we visit the metropolitan area of Omaha, NE.

Known for its extremely friendly Midwestern ambiance, Omaha is a thriving major city with a small-town feel. While the Omaha community is known for attending sports games religiously (i.e.: Husker Football and the College World Series), they also happen to be active in supporting retro games! The metropolitan area is home to five retro game shops, which are located within Omaha proper and the La Vista city limits. Retro game store chain, Gamers, operates three of the five stores. The other two boutique stores include: Ben’s Game Zone (La Vista) and Game Vault (Omaha proper).

Are we missing a retro game store from Omaha not on this list? Do you have a story you’d like to share about one of these stores? Feel free to let us know in the comments section!
